Individual, Couple and Family Therapy
Northern Cities Therapy provides individual, family and couple therapy for children, adolescents and adults. Our therapists work with clients for many things including (but not limited to) the following areas; anxiety, depression, family conflict, relationship struggles, trauma, alcohol/chemical health, grief & loss, life transitions, ADHD, anger, autism spectrum disorder, parenting, codependency, social skills, etc.
Chemical Health Assessments
Northern Cities Therapy provides Chemical Health Assessments (Rule 25) to those seeking them for personal, professional or legal reasons. Clients will be interviewed regarding their chemical and mental health and how it is and has impacted their life. Clients are welcome to pay with cash or use their insurance to cover the cost of the assessment ($175.00).
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Group members will learn Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which is an evidence-based, strengths-based approach that provides skills to support group members in their recovery journey, overall mental health and
creating a fulfilling life.
- Distress Tolerance Skills will help strengthen existing coping skills and teach additional ways to manage distressing events in life.
- Emotion Regulation skills will teach group members how to identify, understand and deal effectively with emotions.
- Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills improve communication with others and increase the ability to advocate for recovery needs.
- Mindfulness Skills improves the ability to be in the present moment and to use the skills learned.
